Raising money for hearing dogs
	At Russell Hearing we understand how difficult living with a significant hearing loss can be. A hearing dog can help those who have a severe hearing loss be more aware of sound, giving them a safer living environment. It costs $15,000 to raise a Hearing Dog so since November 2008 we have co-ordinated a number of events to raise money for this worthy cause. We hope, over the next few years, to raise enough to pay for the training of one dog. You can see below how we've raised the current funds.

Prenzel Treats Raffle Congratulations to Ron and Elsie Wedding on winning the Prenzel treats drawn 18th December at our Christmas afternoon tea. Prenzel Gift Packs Congratulations to the winners of the Prenzel gift packs: 1st PRIZE - Chris MacKenzie - ticket no. 0915 2nd PRIZE - Anne McCort - ticket no. 0264 3rd PRIZE - George McLean - ticket no. 0879 Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets and helped us raise money funds for Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
Previous Fundraising
	Handmade Cards In November a group of clients and staff got together over a few days and made approximately 100 lovely cards. These were sold in the clinics, to the delight of our clients.
	Donated Plants and Stools Thank you to the client who donated three cranberry plants he’d grown. He also made four pieces of furniture: one chair and three stools, which were sold on Trade Me
	Mystery Bus Tour In April a small group joined the mystery bus tour on its travels to a tour of the Puhoi cheese factory and lunch at the Puhoi Pub.
	Sausage Sizzle Thanks to the Pride of Howick who assisted us with this fundraising effort, the organisation and to our clients who attended with their hearing dogs. A total of $600 was raised for Hearing Dogs, we have now exceeded our goal of raising $1000 for this organisation.
